Love and opportunities are in the air!

At Ready to Succeed, we often say: Opportunity Changes Everything.

Sometimes, an opportunity is just getting a foot in the door. Things like getting an internship, a professional connection, or just real-world experience that helps finding a career that much easier.

For former foster youth, that door is often much heavier. Without consistent family support, graduating college is only half the challenge. Finding mentors, internships, and career pathways can feel overwhelming, and more often not, out of reach.

Because of you, that narrative changes.

Thanks to your support, Scholars are not only graduating, they are also stepping into careers and opportunities that once felt impossible.Below are just a few of the amazing former foster youth who recently landed jobs and internships that are jumpstarting their careers.

Scholar Success Stories

Chrisie at Skydance Studios

Chrisie, a 2025 graduate, recently secured a full-time animation production role at Skydance Studios!

After interning with Skydance over the past year, Chrisie made the most of every moment. She built strong professional relationships, gained hands-on experience, and turned her internship into a full-time offer. Her hard work truly paid off!

Rudy at Lenox Financial Advisors

This past fall, Rudy attended a college job fair as part of his Scholar monthly to-dos. While there, he connected with Lenox Advisors, however, this moment that quickly turned into something much bigger.

Through continued follow-up and persistence, Rudy walked away with an offer to join Lenox Advisors as a Financial Advisor this summer, marking a major milestone as he prepares to launch his professional career.

Daniel at the Democratic Party of Orange County

Daniel joined Ready to Succeed in 2024 and immediately became an active member of the community. From resume-building workshops to volunteering as a camp counselor at Camp Ready, Daniel has taken full advantage of every opportunity to grow and give back.

This summer, Daniel secured an internship with the Democratic Party of Orange County, where he’s gaining hands-on experience in civic engagement and community organizing.

These wins matter. But there are even more former foster youth still working toward their first opportunity who still need encouragement and guidance to reach those life-changing connections.
